US Green Card: EB-5 Visa

The EB-5 Program

United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) provides eligible investor and family (husband, wife and unmarried children under 21) a Green Card through the EB-5 program.

The program was created by Congress in 1990 to stimulate the U.S. economy through job creation and capital investment by foreign investors.

Each year 10,000 Visas are made available exclusively under the EB-5 Program.

Key Requirements
  • Minimum investment per family of $500,000
  • Investment has to be from bona fide personal sources

Important Disclaimer

This website content is for information purposes only and does not constitute an offer to invest. Actual investment offer will be made only to qualified and “accredited” investors through an offering memorandum. USCIS requires that the investment be “at-risk”. While every effort is made to lower the risk, the equity loss may happen. USCIS has discretion on Green Card approval. While every effort is made to lower the risk, in some cases the Green Card can be denied. As of Mar 2013, it is taking around 6-9 months for Green Card processing, but this can change without notice from USCIS.
